Liv Hospital City Walk: The Rise and Closure of Dubai’s Turkish Hospital
Liv Hospital City Walk, located in the City Walk district of Dubai, was one of the most ambitious healthcare projects launched in the UAE in recent years. Opened in October 2024 under the management of MLP Care — Turkey’s largest private healthcare group — the hospital occupied a 15,240 m² facility and operated under the motto “Future of Health.” It was intended to serve both Dubai’s large Turkish expatriate community and international patients seeking premium medical care.
A Brief but Notable Run
The hospital was established through the acquisition of the former Valiant Clinic & Hospital. This opening marked a significant milestone for MLP Care, a leading Turkish healthcare group expanding its international footprint in the Middle East. The facility offered over 25 medical specialties, received JCI (Joint Commission International) 8th Edition accreditation, and attracted Turkish specialist physicians across fields ranging from cardiology to plastic surgery.
Why Did Liv Hospital City Walk Close?
The management contract between MLP Care and the building’s owner was terminated by the opposing party on 26 August 2025. Following this termination, MLP’s access to the hospital’s bank accounts and its management authority were revoked. (Odatv)
MLP Care stated that all employee and physician payments were made in full and on time during the period of its management authority, and that no outstanding staff or doctor payments remained at the time the contract ended. (Odatv) The company also announced that it had filed a lawsuit against the hospital’s owner and its partners, alleging unlawful termination of the contract.
Following the closure, staff members — including Turkish doctors and healthcare workers — reported being redirected to the facility’s former identity, Valiant Hospital, for payment claims, a situation they say left them without a clear point of accountability. (Odatv)
In short: the Liv Hospital brand was a management operation, not ownership. When the management agreement collapsed, the Liv brand exited — and the underlying facility reverted to its previous operators.
What Is There Now?
The building at City Walk – 13th St, Al Wasl continues to operate as a medical facility under the Valiant Clinic & Hospital name, its original identity before MLP Care’s involvement. The Liv Hospital brand and MLP Care are no longer associated with this location.
