Irem Akinci is a Physiotherapist who completed her Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from Baskent University in Turkey in 2016. She obtained her Master's degree from Hacettepe University in Turkey in 2019. She has several years of experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and has worked in a special orthopedics clinic in Turkey. She has a special interest in sports-related injuries and rehabilitation, and has worked with athletes in various sports including volleyball, basketball, judo, and taekwondo. Irem was also involved in pre-season testing and training for injury prevention using an isokinetic dynamometer. In 2017, she was the physiotherapist for the Turkish National Wheelchair Women's Basketball Team.
Irem is skilled in the treatment of various conditions, including sports injuries, spine problems (such as back and neck pain), headaches, trauma/post-operative rehabilitation, and joint pain (such as shoulder, knee, and hip pain). She uses various treatment methods including manual therapy, kinesiotaping, clinical Pilates exercises, therapeutic exercises, spinal manipulation, and soft tissue release. She also has experience in sports rehabilitation.
